Breathing New Life

The pandemic had everyone reimagining travel. Now there is light at the end of the tunnel and we can finally begin planning, instead of only reminiscing on our past travel experiences. Our OUA Sooners love to travel on the weekends and during their long breaks. Some of their favorite spots for weekend travel or spring break include: Paris, Dublin, Berlin, London, anywhere in Spain, and more. Students get creative with their travels and we've even had students take week-long bike trips through France and work on a farm in Ireland through a program that allows you to earn your stay through farming and other projects.
For myself, I also love to travel. When you study abroad or live (and work) abroad like I do, you tend to prefer spending your money on sight-seeing and new experiences. This is my preference, at least. Students always ask me what my favorite trip was and I never know what to say because each trip is so different. I loved the museums in London, the environment in Lisbon, the peculiarity of Puglia (Southern Italy), the snow in Switzerland, the reflections I had in Romania while driving, the beauty of Norway, and more. I can't pick one "favorite" because each country and city is so unique and special in its own way. One thing we can all agree on is that traveling breaths new life into you and nothing compares to what you gain through these experiences. We can't wait to do it again! I haven't been on plane since the beginning of January 2020--it's time!
A Round Trip Recap
February 3, 2020
A quick #throwback of #ouinarezzo students traveling around Europe during the Spring semester!
This weekend was one for the books! On Friday, we started off with a class trip to Pisa and Lucca, then some groups traveled to London, Paris, and others stayed back and enjoyed events in Arezzo. The London group saw many things from Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, to the iconic red telephone booths. The Paris group climbed the Eiffel Tower, visited Versailles, and had dinner on a boat touring the Seine River!
Finally, the group in Arezzo enjoyed visiting the antique fair, the Saturday market, an Indian food lunch, and exploring our city! #OUinArezzo #OUASpring20
A Magical sunday
February 10, 2020
Have you ever heard of #Orvieto?! It’s a beautiful town in the Umbria region of Italy, known for its Etruscan artifacts, underground cave system, unique Duomo, hiking trails, the huge and deep St. Patrick’s Well, Etruscan tombs, delicious food, and more! Today a group of #ouasooners experienced this breathtaking city. Imagine being only a short train ride away from such moments! What a magical way to spend a Sunday!

This past weekend a group visited Vienna, Austria! They went to the Museum Illusions, Cafe Central, St. Stephans Cathedral and much more! Isabella Calvano said, “The architecture of the city is amazing. It is so unique and so beautiful. It was definitely one thing that really stood out for me!” There are so many possibilities you have as an #OUASooner, like traveling around Europe! #roundtriprecap #OUinArezzo #OUASpring20
Fun memories for students
June 30, 2019
Our @gaylordcollege students enjoyed three days of independent travel last week, and they went to Cinque Terre and the Leaning Tower of Pisa! We love seeing all the fun memories our students are making here! Looking forward to another great week at OUA. #ouasummer19
Beautiful Amalfi Coast
June 26, 2019
Here is a weekend recap featuring some of our @oupricecollege
students. They traveled to the beautiful Amalfi Coast during their free weekend and even took a boat trip to see the sea caves in Capri. We are sad to see our Price students leave Arezzo tomorrow, but we are so excited to see their fun adventures to come in Rome!
